On October 29, ICBTE-2020 was opened at Brest State Technical University in Belarus. Due to the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, this conference was held by offline + online video conference, with experts and scholars from China, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Poland, Ukraine, Spain and other countries attending the conference, which lasted for two days. As the co-organizer of this conference, Anhui Jianzhu University actively participated in the conference. Cai Xinli, the Vice President, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The heads of International Office, Science and Technology Department and School of Environment and Energy Engineering and some key teachers attended the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Dm. Makaruk, the head of the Brest Science and Technology Park in Belarus, and D. Gorodetsky, the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Brest, Belarus, gave a welcome speech; А. Bahanovich, the President of Brest State University, Cai Xinli, the Vice President of our university, and S. Shilinchuk, the Vice Chairman of Brest State Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Committee, addressed the conference respectively.
Seven professors, A. Volchek, V. Tur and A. Shuryn from Brest State Technical University, Zhu Shuguang from Anhui Jianzhu University, Y. Mazhayskiy from all-Russia Institute of Water Conservancy Engineering and Soil Improvement, G. Gavardashvili from Georgia Technical University and V. Derkach from Belarus Science and Technology Center, were invited to give keynote speeches.
It is reported that this conference is the second after ICBTE-2019 held in Anhui Jianzhu University in 2019. Anhui Jianzhu University is one of the first members of the international alliance of architectural universities along “the Belt and Road”. The ICBTE series conference will further promote the international exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, higher education and personnel training along “the Belt and Road”, and help to enhance the strength and international reputation of the university.
