Inorganic Non-metallic Materials Engineering originated from the major of silicate engineering established in 1958. It was renamed “Inorganic Nonmetallic Material Engineering” in 1993, approved as a national characteristic specialty construction site in 2009, listed as the national pilot major of comprehensive reform in 2012, and got qualified of the China Engineering Education Accreditation in 2016. This major aims to train high-quality applied talents of civil engineering materials, green building materials, inorganic functional materials and other fields. Graduates will be awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Cultivation objectives:
To cultivate high-quality innovative applied talents with practical abilities who can have a good sense of social responsibility, professional ethics and humanistic quality, master professional knowledge and skills of inorganic non-metallic materials engineering, be able to conduct design, production, research, development, testing, technology and management in the preparation, analysis as well as application of inorganic nonmetallic materials, satisfying the needs of the society and the industrial development.
